Two Projects Recognised at the 2017 Structural Steel Design Awards
Billington were delighted to have two project shortlisted for the 2017 Structural Steel Design Awards and eagerly awaited the results from the awards evening held on 4th October. The projects were The Hurlingham Club Racquet Cente in London and the A400M MRO Facility RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.
Although Billington did not receive the highest achievement of an award with these projects, they did achieve a commendation and a merit during the presentation evening which is still a great accomplishment for two well-deserved projects.
The Hurlingham Club Racquet Centre (built by sister company, Tubecon) received a Commendation in the Structural Steel Design Awards - the second highest achievement possible. The team included members from The Hurlingham Club, Price & Myers, David Morley Architects, ISG Construction and Billington.
A400M MRO Facility at RAF Brize Norton received a Merit in the 2017 Structural Steel Design Awards. The team included represenatives from the DIO (Defence Infrastructure Organisation), Balfour Beatty, Arup, AWW Architects, WYG and Billington.
