Billington Structures Shortlisted for the 2017 SSDA!

Structural Steel Design Awards 2017

Billington Structures Ltd are delighted to have been shortlisted for two projects in the 2017 Structural Steel Design Awards!

The projects shortlisted are:

A400M MRO Facility, RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire

The Hurlingham Club Racquet Centre in London (submitted by trading division, Tubecon)

These two projects were deemed suitable for submission as they were both very different and complex in their own way. The Brize Norton project is a large aircraft hangar built on the RAF base in Oxfordshire consisting of over 3,000 tonnes of structural steel. The Hurlingham Club Racquet Centre is based on a prestigious leisure facility in London and Tubecon provided the structural steel including the complex vierendeel trusses.

Both projects received excellent feedback from the judge's visits and we look forward to finding out whether the projects are successful on the presentation evening on 4th October.
