Steelwork Contracting is a complex business where thorough coordination is vital.

At the start of every project, we put together a competent hand-picked team which is led by a Project Manager with the necessary skills and experience to guarantee success. A comprehensive project plan is produced for each job which sets the necessary targets for drawing issues, material purchase, subcontract orders, approvals, deliveries to site and handovers.

The Billington intranet, GMIS, provides our team with all the up-to-date information needed to run their projects including drawings, documents, emails, and contact information. The system has been developed utilising Union Square software which has been enhanced by our in-house programming team to track fabrication, material orders, programme and site deliveries. Billington have also developed a management system to provide clients early notification of change on their projects.
