New combined CNC sawing, drilling and marking machine at Billington's Yate facility

Billington have recently invested in a new combined CNC sawing, drilling and marking machine at their Yate facility near Bristol. The long awaited machine has been recently launched on the market by Peddinghaus Corporation based in the USA and enables the drilling of structural steel sections using carbide tooling technology at much increased rates of throughput.

Defence Estates Safety Award at Bovington

November was a difficult month for lifting operations on the Bovington development. High winds could easily have compromised safety during the steel erection phase. Thjis however was not allowed thanks to the tenacious control of lifting operations by Billington’s working foreman and slinger/signaller, Barry Smith.
