Forged in the heart of the Yorkshire Coalfields, originally dedicated to industrial and mining engineering, our industrial heritage forms the backbone of our expertise. The largest distribution centre in Europe, the size of 31 football pitches was designed, manufactured and erected by Billington Structures Limited. The Magna Science Adventure Centre with structural tributes to Earth, Air, Fire and Water was manufactured by Billington and erected in the old Templeborough steel mill in Rotherham, winner of the Stirling Prize for 2001 the project won a number of industry Awards for Billington, not least Contract Journal's "Specialist Contractor of the Year"
Whilst today's contemporary structures offer lightweight, bespoke and architectural complexity it's satisfying to know that the nuts and bolts of industrial experience underlie and confirm the integrity of our structural prowess.
