Billington began building school / educational structures with serious intent in 2002 when they manufactured the North Tyneside Schools programme for Kajima Construction. Rotherham PFI schools quickly followed with Balfour Beatty, Leeds Primary Schools with Wates and Sheffield Schools with Kier.
Billington are currently working on the Manchester BSF programme with a Laing/Balfour Beatty joint venture where modelling and stringent client requirements from Manchester City Council are the order of the day.
To date Billington have gained experience working on over 50 structural frames of varying complexity for Schools and educational Academies around the UK. Increasingly tight programmes have been overcome with exceptional 3D modelling techniques and optimal detailing of the various structural frames.
Billington have gained the knowledge and hard won experience to be a favourite steel specialist for the major blue chip contractors.
