Billington Structures Sponsor Women of Steel Event

Billington Structures Ltd were proud sponsors of a classical concert held at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield to support the Women of Steel charity.

The charity's ambition is to get a statue placed in Sheffield city centre to celebrate the stamina and bravery of the women who worked relentlessly in the steelwork industries throughout both World Wars. Billington Structures had the pleasure to meet the 4 Women of Steel (only 3 pictured above) and sponsor an incredible event. The internationally renowned classical Ensemble 360 gave us a moving performance which captivated the entire audience.

Pictured are Les Holloway, Corina Cato, Karen Moore and Rebecca Mellor of Billington Structures and 3 of the Women of Steel, Kathleen Roberts, Dorothy Slingsby and Ruby Gascoigne.

The charity is still working to achieve its £150,000 target after hosting a number of additional events. You can find out more on the charity and events here - www.womenofsteeltheconcert.co.uk
